Here we will keep an ongoing collection of light shows we have seen in the Denver-Metro area. Our favorites (indicated with a *) will be highlighted so you can target the best (in our opinion) shows in the area. We will also include paid attractions that you may find exciting if you are a fan of holiday lights like we are!
- Paid and Commercial Shows
- Christmas In Color – This is an awesome light show that you drive through! Seeing the lights synced up to music as you drive through them is truly magical, especially for young kids and if you have a good moonroof (panoramic moonroof for the win!).
- Zoo Lights – The Denver Zoo puts together a great experience every year with miles upon miles of lights. One tree even has over 2 miles of lights just by itself! Bundle the kids up, pack some hot chocolate, and spend a couple hours walking through the lights!
- * Blossom of Light – Head on over to the Denver Botanical Gardens and spend a few hours seeing the lights! They even have a yard section setup that reacts to music as well as a control panel the kids (and adults) can use between songs!
- Free Home Shows
- * Broomfield Lights – This is the show that started our desire to make a home show of our own. We first saw them a few years ago, before our first daughter was born, and fell in love with the idea. Our old house didn’t lend itself to putting on a show (small yard, tiny streets, tight spaces) so we knew we had to wait. After moving we knew this was the place to get started. They put on a great show every year and have tons of good information on their website. Be sure to check them out!
